NEW Fenris Games Humvees
« on: November 10, 2008, 11:38:58 AM »
Some piccies of the latest additions to my motorpool - a pair of Fenris Games Humvees:

Comparable in size to the TAG ones (slightly longer wheelbase than the TAG turtleback, but definitely go well together).

Should be on his site shortly (i picked these up at FIASCO)

edit: Heard from Geronimo, that the Humvee should be available from his site, tonight!  :)

As I try not to compare anything to the TAG line if possible do you have any other lines to compare these to by chance?
Love Fenris Games. Did right by me on an auction a few years ago where he really didnt have to. And always got useful material for sale. :-)

Approx dimensions:

Fenris Humvee (Softtop)
Length 90mm
Width 41mm
Height 35mm

TAG Humvee (Turtleback)
Length 83mm (The TAG ambulance is c90mm in length)
Width 41mm
Height 33mm

FOA Humvee (Turtleback)
Length 81mm
Width 37mm
Height 31mm to roof, 33mm to hatch

Britannia Humvee (Turtleback)
Length 80mm
Width 35mm
Height 35mm to hatch

Thanks to Matakishi for the Britannia measurements, and to Col Stone for the FOA.

In summary, the only real difference between the Fenris & TAG versions is the slightly longer wheelbase of the Fenris version, but IMHO isn't an issue, particularly as i also have the TAG ambulance version as well.  If you've already got the slightly smaller FOA/Britannia ones as well?  Personal choice, but given the different variants, i'd be comfortable with a mix - especially as i understand this is only the start of potentially a number of different models that Fenris hope to bring out.

 :)

Softtops from Fenris, Turtlebacks & ambulance from TAG.

i'd suggest PM'ing Geronimo on Frothers, or using his ebay email - he said he'd have them up last night, so i'd guess they will be on shortly.

I got my at FIASCO, so got a "show special price"   ;)

Ah... Thanks!

I tried googling FOA + vehicles, but it did not give me anything useful  ;D

I'm only a novice when it comes to all this 'ultra-modern' stuff - but hummers are on my wish list for Future Wars/Zombie games  ;)

Akula, where is the gunner figure from? Is it a conversion?

I think the Fenris Hummers would go well with the slightly larger 28mm Black Scorpion moderns too.

The gunner (on the TAG Humvee) is a Eureka Bundeswehr MG gunner (from memory they do two variants - i think he is the one kneeling).  Just get a sharp knife, and chop the legs, and gun off - easy peasy.

The TAG vehicle comes with an M60, although they do other weapons as well.  I've got a number of Black Scorpion Marines, and they do go well with both makes of Humvee (as do the TAG/Eureka NBC guys).
