I received some new models today, some 1/72 scale Minairons Spanish Civil War kits.

I wrote Lluís, and asked if it would be possible to have a couple of sample models as I am enthralled with how lovely the Spanish Civil War miliciana models in his line are.

Lluís far exceeded any hopes of mine, and sent me a box of the milicianas, a T-26, and a Sadurni tankette (which has decals useable for the T-26). This is more than enough to start a Spanish Civil War project, and for this, I have to humbly, graciously, and sincerely thank Lluís! Gracias!

Read the complete story here with some initial reviews of these terrific miniatures

Thanks :)

Incidentally I'm thinking of using the 7TV book by Crooked Dice for the project ;)

I do actually have the CoC and Espana rules; I think they look quite good, but need more minis than I have budget for (I'm really hobby funds challenged right now!).

So then I thought: action show, small casts, a few vehicles, 7TV! Think A-Team in 1936.  instead of a van, a bookmobile; name every miliciana, and make them the good cast. The fascists, morrocans, and other nationalists, well they can be the baddies.

7TV could work for this!

Rapid Fire is a good set of rules for the SCW, not too figure intense either.

I've played Rapid Fire - a long time ago - and it was alright.

I just want to try something different. 7TV will do that ...  lol

I'm seriously tempted to do this project in greyscale, like photographs - terrain and all.

Hmmmm....

Do it! There's not enough Grey scale projects around, and I don't think there's any SCW projects in Grey scale yet - would be mighty refreshing.
