Lovely. Good choice about the helmet, that breaks the monochromatic scheme, works perfectly.

And we reach level 7 of the Rogue Quest with a galactic Barbarian based on the first space marine scout for which I stole the colour scheme from a fellow blogger.
The man is massive and was just perfect for the role, can't think of any bulkier human in Rogue Trader.

With 2 thirds of the challenge behind me, I'll have to think about terrain and rules seriously. Mor ein the asociated blogpost HERE.

It still strikes me how much you can get out of any model even using such self restricted palette. Your art is pure talent, man!

My output for this week is another magic user; another psyker, but this time one of Marauder's eccentric-looking Psyker gangers produced for the Necromunda precursor game, Confrontation:

His outfit reminds me of 1970s glam-rock - I wonder if that's what was being aimed for? ;)

And my crew to date:

More words and pictures over at my blog.

Level 9 is coming with a druid from the future !

FUr wearing hobbos aren't really to my taste but give them some more ethnical background and some depth and I'm starting to like the concept ! I think this confornttaion dogskin found its place with this concept. Druids change form fut in the future I find a little more pleasant that they just control animals with psy powers. The bond with nature is suitably odd in the 40k universe and especially in the underhive so I thought the concept was intersting and painted a lot of critters to give him all sorts of help.

Here he is amongst his fellow dungeoneers !

As usual, more info and pictures on the associated blogpost HERE.

The choice of colours is sweet, though the guy looks less sci-fi (or maybe less flamboyant RT) than the others :D. But the animals... Oh, I love them! That fauna is incredibly cool! :-*

Loving the Ratskin Dogskin! It's funny, but the arms look surprisingly big on him (especially considering that the models were designed to fit arms in the first place...  lol). The rat with a human face is especially wonderful.

The arms are indeed too big and this how they look after I already reduced them a bit... for some reason the confrontation models by Mr Naismith and Mr Coppletsone are really smaller scale wise than the rest. Hard to find suitable arms for them. At tabeltop distance this issue is no more and even the size difference between models isn't a big problem as people in real life already come in a great variety !

Odd question maybe, and perhaps it goes against the Oldhammer idea, but have you considered using some arms from different kits that might be a better size due to not being heroically-proportioned?

I was thinking some of the WW2 or moderns 28mm plastic kits might be about right, and I'm sure you can get them cheaply from somewhere like "Hoard O' Bits".

It's a good question and I don't think either of Axiom and I are Oldhammer extremists so any arms would be good. I've actually used some other smaller arms on some like the hunters but failed to find anything for this poor chap. I'll have a look at WW2 stuff  (only reason I didn't do it earlier is that I now nothing about the ranges and all), From what' I've heard Victoria's arms are also quite good for the purpose.

How about Em4 plastic future soldiers. I believe they are Grenadier future warriors size
