Apprentice figure
« on: September 29, 2015, 11:51:01 AM »
I have had a hard time finding appropriate apprentice wizard figures but this one is great. This figure of a young woman makes a great figure for an apprentice or any young person thrown into an adventure.

Sorry the picture is not posting for some reason.

see the advice I've been given here when I had difficulty with posting pics. http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=82932.0

You're right he'll make a good apprentice.outside the Northstar range there's not many apprentice options.

This is a Dark Sword Miniature. They have a lot of impressive wizards in their range. But aren't they a bit to heroic scale compared to other manufacturers?

They are tall, but not "heroic". That description seems to apply to the fashion for grossly outsized heads, stunted arms and legs and pudgy hands  that a lot of ranges suffer from.
The Dark Sword minis are true scale (to 1/48th I believe) and so look tall and lean in comparision.

They are beautiful sculpts and have an incredible range, but you do have to be choosy which other manufacturers figures you mix them with......if that sort of thing bothers you.

This particular figure is a bit taller than my others but she is well proportioned a little broad in the shoulders perhaps but well people come in a lot of vartiations. .  I also think that Darksword Scale varies a bit from sculptor to sculptor she is much bigger than the Sasha Stark figure I posted a few weeks ago.

Thanks for this information! I think it should indeed be no problem if a single miniature is a bit taller. I will have a closer look at the range of Dark Sword.

I am going to try photographing her next to some other figures I am using her with, maybe that will help.
