Failed morale force the 2 wounded bad guys to withdraw from the table to lick their wounds, however the remainder fight on & finally the leader gets through to the..novices (ugh)...
Who promptly charge onto the table, forgoing cover & believing they can overwhelm the small group they can see..unfortunately for them they don`t spot the prone gimpy gunner!
A one sided firefight results in 2 novices seriously wounded & another dead! (Its all going Pete Tong..sigh)

But just as i`m about to throw in the towel, the Para squad leader, whom had been obviously watching too many John Wayne movies & constantly firing whilst stood in the open (foolish or foolhardy?) was hit twice. The first failed to penetrate but the 2nd hit caused him to slump with a serious wound.
Meanwhile the other para was stabilised.

At the end of turn 5 there were 2 dead bad guys, 2 seriously injured & who had done a runner after receiving light wounds.
Meanwhile the Brits had received 2 seriously wounded para`s.
The squad leader was dragged into cover by the co-pilot & was also stabilised!

All parties passed relevant morale & at the start of turn 6, the hardcore guys arrived..better late than never i guess!

However the wup wup wup of helicopters could be heard approaching in the distance.
The bad guys tactically withdrew, realising they had no real hope of achieving their aim...All except the bomber, who sprinted towards the copter, whilst screaming to his God..

Realising what was happening, the pilot, whom had been loitering in a bush, quickly took a bead on the approaching bomber & fired his glock in rapid succession...
Unbelievably he managed to hit the charging bomber, stopping him in his tracks with a serious wound..(My mate had reversed his poor die rolls!)

The bomber tried to activate his vest but fell unconscious..much to the relief of the good guys, especially the reporter whom had sought shelter inside.
Support arrived & the damaged copter was repaired & eventually flown away & the 2 paras were airlifted where they both survived.
Both wounded bad guys were also airlifted out but 1 succumbed to his wounds.
All in all a very fun scenario that could have gone either way, even down to the last turn with the bomber making his move.
And my mate has realised that decent tactics & positions can work wonders rather than trying to be too gung ho
I hope you guys liked it..Until the next time!

Very nice batrep! Are the markers with stones (and are those blood spots) used to mark light serious and critical wounds? They look great, and I may steal them (no one will everrrr know!)
