28mm Russo Turkish war figs could be great VSF combatants!
« on: November 12, 2008, 04:47:55 PM »
With the forthcoming range of 28mm Russo Turkish wars figures from Outpost Wargames Services, it provides the VSF gamer with some alternative options for oponents, with Turks, Russians, Bulgarian and Romanian troops there are great opportunities to field colourful alterantives to the usual English, Prussian and French...Well its a thought. Pics can be found in the Greens photo file of the Yahoo group for the RTW;

As would the Colonial Russians made by Askari Miniatures and Eureka.  Here's a game we had back in August:

We're hoping to post the report here too, when we find out how!!

The Turks are ideal for Darkest Africa/VSF games, as regular troops or Sultan's Guards for fictional Arab or Turkish style countries.

The Outpost greens look promising. Any idea how they look next to Perry, Askari and Eureka figures?

Sterling, I'd like to see your game report here. To include pics, you just need to click on the picture icon, third from the left on the middle row of icons on the "post reply" page and insert the url of the image inside the brackets.

Jeff and I are working together to ensure when they are released there are suffucent packs for everyones tastes, formal release will prob be early 2009 however do drop Jeff an email for further info. We are currently working on the Turks, Russians next then Romanians.

As soon as I have some painted samples I will post them alongside or mixed in with some Askari figures for people to get comparison, I will include some Perry Minis as I will be using their Egyptian command as additional officers.
