Russian Jagers 1800-1813

Morning from a Napoleonic newbie

My question is did these guys ever has flags, standards, banners, markers, golden trumpet on sticks issued and if so did they take them to war?

Seriously do Russian Jagers have any field identification symbol?

There were some major changes in uniforms during the 1800- 1813 period.  For the 1812-14 campaigns- the period I know the most about- Jager regiments, like the rest of the infantry, were pretty much standardized.  For the Jagers it was black cuffs and collars piped red. 

The devil is in the details. Shoulder straps would be red, green piped red. white, yellow or blue depending on the regiment's place in its division.  I'm going from memory here, but I believe the number of the division would be embroidered on the shoulder strap. This may or may not be an issue depending on what scale figures you are painting.

There are contemporary prints showing Jagers with brass regimental numbers on the cartridge boxes.

No flags, though, as they are light infantry.  They would have had hornists; basically the same uniform but with white lace down the sleeves.

I thought that the Russian Jaeger facings in 1812 were green piped red did they change later?

The Commissar is right : black piped red was reserved for artillery uniforms. The new 1807 dark green uniform had given the Jäger red cuffs and white collars piped red. Shoulder straps were red for the senior Jager regiment in each division and light blue for the junior one.

All this changed in 1809 when both the cuffs and the collar became dark green piped red. The red shoulder straps became yellow though the light blue ones remained unchanged.

To the best of my knowledge, Jäger regiments were not issued with colours of any kind, the Guard Jäger being the only exception to this rule because of their Guard status.

Sorry, had a brain fart and was away from my references to check.  Green piped red is of course right, black was the facing colour for artillery crew- which I had been working on recently.
