As long as you are using Thunderbolt Mountain you should pull out all the stops and get this bad boy. Not sure what you could use it for, but the girls would love it.

Love it.

I have this as a suitable terrain (mostly edible, especially the forests)

If you want to add more female minis you should take a look at Annie the Dice Bag Lady's website http://thedicebaglady.net/female-miniatures/
Look especially at two particular female magic users that may be of interest to your girls if they're anything like my daughter who has chosen them to lead her frozen themed warband https://tyrionhalfmanblog.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/frozen-frostgrave/

I like the idea of random encounters that do you good to bump into unlike the usual ones that will see your warbands as dinner. Thanks for sharing

Another idea to make it more appealing to kids (and some adults too) is edible treasure ie chocolate coins

Thanks for the mention :D

Thunderbolt Mountain stuff is great, I hadn't seen the swan ship before - excellent!

Christmas, well Alternative Armies evil baker

and Victory Force gingerbread men

I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

One could always exchange the bomb for something less martial, like a giant  loaf of gingerbread  lol

Since we are nearing Christmas season, how about a Christmas-themed campaign. I have been wanting to do one for years now, surprisingly there are a lot of fun miniatures to choose from. Two Hour Wargames even had a rules supplement called Christmas Wars. The terrain would of course be a snowy, wintery landscape and maybe some of the fortifications are actually edible :)

When I started my daughter playing war games, we used her Littlest Pet Shop figures and matching "terrain".

I love the Christmas ideas although my kiddies are a wee bit too young to introduce them to an AK47 wielding Father Christmas just yet

I'll have to get some of these for my girls, they're just what they're into right now. Thanks for the Link Annie.

And BTW for those who haven't yet done business with this lady, I've just recently ordered some Frostgrave and some female minis and the service and selection was excellent and P&P to Canada terrific. Good to support small businesses that obviously are a real part of the community.  :)

I fully agree Grey Panda. Annie's range of minis (both realistic looking females and their male counterparts) is constantly being updated, some of which I'd never heard of until she started stocking them such as the resin scatter terrain, treasure items and conversion bits from Ristulsmarket. Her service is second to none. I'll definitely be buying my next additions from her.
I got my daughter the Northstar female magic users (Frozen's Ellsa and Anna) for her birthday, which I bought from Annie, and she's really pleased with them.
I also got some of the metal female heads from her which I've used with some of my Frostgrve plastics to give my warband a fairly even mix of male and female soldiers. I got the set with hair on as I'm not skilled with green stuff but Annie also sells bald heads which she's used to make female Frostgrave soldiers as seen on her website.
