Traveller, Resin Spaceships for Sale on eBay
« on: October 19, 2015, 12:13:53 AM »
These 1/250th scale, resin, Traveller Spaceships have finally turned up, after apparently being caught in a wormhole, when being shipped from D20 Entertainment, by Ken Whitman:

Instead of arriving at the people's doorsteps, that have paid for them, months in advance (anywhere from 4 months in my case, to as many as 12+ months allegedly for some), they've been re-sold, apparently, to NobleKnightGames, who are selling them on eBay, for twice the price Ken had them listed for on his D20 Entertainment site, for the unpainted, three ship set.

Brilliant marketing there, in my personal opinion, e.g. selling a product twice, but only delivering them once.  Saves on shipping costs and labor too, I suspect.

So, if you've been waiting months for delivery of your resin, Traveller spaceship models, it appears that they may have been found, but obviously there will be further delays in the delivery of them to you, if you ever receive them at all.

Given Ken Whitman's alleged 20+ years of scamming people with fake, and/or mismanaged projects, I'll be very surprised if we ever receive them at all.

So, tell your friends to avoid this guy, and D20 Entertainment at all costs.

Caveat Emptor!

Note - the product listings for the above have been pulled from the D20 Entertainment website.

You can however, for the low, low price of either $250, or $500, get your name in the credits for the new "Sol Bound Traveller" web-series, which appears to me to be just a rehash of the failed Spinward Traveller Kickstarter TV series, pilot project.  Pay up, and you can be listed as an Associate Producer, and/or a Story Editor.
You know, that KS, where the actors allegedly haven't been paid by Ken for their work.

For $30, you can get a Sol Bound Traveller DVD and 13" x 19" mini-poster.  Though before you do, you might want to check out the comments sections of the following Kickstarters, to see how many have received their purchases for the failed Knights of the Dinner Table, Spinward Traveller, and Pencil Dice Kickstarter products they've paid for first, since delivery does seem to be a a lot of concern on those as well:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/d20e/kodt-live-action-series/comments

Sad when the guy can't even get custom pencils made, and shipped to customers, who paid for them in advance.  How hard can that be?

How does anyone think he'll ever be able to make a proper TV pilot, or web-series, given that, and his alleged track record of six failed Kickstarters he's initiated in the past few years?

Delivery on those is so bad to non-existent, that allegedly Ken Whitman and his company, D20 Entertainment have been banned from starting any new projects with Kickstarter.

I guess the almost $180,000 in funding he allegedly generated with all of those Kickstarters wasn't enough to be able to complete even one, successfully.

Wonder where all the money went?
