Spectre Operations playtest session
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:19:00 PM »
The long-awaited Spectre rules update is nearly here..... Here is a short flavour of the sort of games you can expect to play. A more detailed battle report will be available shortly, as well as a rules update!
Enjoy.
The Spectre Team.

Game Scenario - A MENA militia have obtained radiological material from facilitators as yet unknown..... The device has been moved to an isolated safe house for final preparation as a 'Dirty' Vehicle Borne Imporvised Explosive Device (VBIED) to be used against a target in the next 6 hours....

Intelligence confirms the location of the material and a forward-based Multi-National Special Operations Task Force are deployed to FIND, FIX and FINISH the target - capture the facilitator and render the device safe while it is still in an unpopulated area.

The safe-house is heavily guarded by sentries and patrols..... With a Quick Reaction Force in vehicles not far away.... The numbers are at least 30 MENA Militia....

0300 - a covert drop-off allows 10 TF Operators to patrol in, up to the perimiter on NVGs undetected...

Despite vigilant MENA Militia security, the Operators approach the perimitier....

The TF Operators evade patrols and covertly breach the perimiter fence.

The Operators gain eyes-on the target while the Militia prepare their device....

The TF Operators stealthily insert a building perimiter cordon and stack up ready for the assault....

Flash-bangs through the doorway and windows stun the Militia, as a torrent of fire from the Operators cuts them down....

But the game is up - the Operators are compromised, shots are fired and the Militia react -passing a Command Test and calling in additional reinforcements.

Two Operators grab the High Value Target - the facilitator as the remainder move to secure the device and fight off the reinforcements.

Reinforcements arrive fast - pushing the the operators back, the ratio is 3-1 in the militia favour....

The TF take casualties from AK fire and a fanatic ramming one of the cordon teams....

Frag greandes go some way to even the score on the TF side.....

Sacrifices are made for the success of the mission...

And the HVT is extracted out the back to the extraction zone, while the battle for the device rages.....

Yes, great looking and interesting game. Can you up-date us on the rules and when they might be available? I also wondered about the fencing ???

Great looking game!  Really cinematic!  Just like watching "Strike Back"!  Are those Systema buildings?
