Looks nice, but sadly the post didn't come with any kind of info about price, number of parts or whether it has game rules. I'm guessing this one will be priced at around 50 Euros.

Frankly, I will be surprised if this comes in under $100 US dollars....

There is no way it is that cheap.  That thing is going to be crazy expensive.  Depending on how it builds, storage could be a problem too.

Given that I got my EagleMoss one for $50CAD, which came build and painted, I'm really not inclined to pay the same or more for another one. Sure that means I won't be able to use it in an official tournament, but I'm ok with that...as there aren't any near me anyway.

I admit I've been pretty hard on KM lately in terms of their pricing and the proposed online-only availability of the legends stuff, but if all they hear is cheers and whistles that's not good either. It's hard to improve if people don't give you honest feedback.

Or perhaps I'm not the audience for this at all. It just struck me that this is a lot like the ForgeWorld premium 40k stuff. I've never understood how people are willing to pay those kinds of prices for that stuff...

Granted it won't be for everyone, but I can't understand the 'other companies already make them, so why would Knight make one?' argument. That's like saying 'Chapter House make Tyranid wings, so why would Games Workshop bother?'. The real question is: why on earth wouldn't they? They have the licence to make a Batman miniatures game, which is a real coup. Their range will logically be as complete as humanly possible - if you want a 35mm compatible Batmobile, it should be Knight Models vying for that dollar rather than another company. They've undoubtedly seen the comments on forums about Eaglemoss, because they're a small company with a strong community presence, and they've probably thought 'Hey, we should be selling those!'

Personally, I do have the Eaglemoss one (several different ones, in fact). But if this one is reasonably priced Ill buy it, because I'd much rather paint a premium resin sculpt than have to prime/repaint a diecast model. Just personal preference. Of course, if it costs a squillion dollars, I'll probably just make do with the one I have ;)

Because there are loads of good official licenced ones out there already. It's not like the Eaglemoss or Corgi ones are crappy knock offs. The market is already pretty saturated. Most Batman players have already sourced a bat mobile or two making it harder for Knight to sell their version especially if it's an online only expensive resin piece.

Could you lend me a bazillion or two?  lol

I'm wondering if the market saturation isn't the reason for the online only sale. Quite possibly the people who simply want "a batmobile" already have one. So your only going to sell to the hard core fans of the line. Best then to keep it a small production run, direct only at hard core prices. Might be the only way to make a decent profit, and avoids the risk of burdening your stockists with expansive kits that don't sell. (not a good marketing strategy in the long run)

Well, it's officially out today. Less than 60 euros, and comes with two weapon options that slightly give it the edge over the competition. Hmm... decisions decisions! http://knightmodels-store.com/epages/afaa2a23-c31d-4ae6-b1cd-12757513fd3b.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/afaa2a23-c31d-4ae6-b1cd-12757513fd3b/Products/AKL001

Can you actually get inside the asylum and place figures? It doesn't seem like it based on the photos. If so, it's kind of a lot to spend on what amounts to a giant fenced-in yard with a few towers

OHH!!

I'm very excited for the Batmobile now....That pricing is downright reasonable (for KM).
I still want to see the actual scale of that thing with old Bats next to it!

Their new website has tantalizing clues to their future....

I think you can play on it, batman style. There's some gargoyles for the Batclaw at least.

If you can play inside it, I'd be more into the asylum. If you can't, it's neat but not worth it to me.
