They look the business,  8)  8)  8)

Oh well, those ones die anyway.  ;)

 lol  lol

A little 'rounded/soft' to go with black scorpion sculpting perhaps, but it would be interesting to see their height compared to artizan, foundry and BS.

Cheers
Matt

I have some spartans and 2 romans and they size very well with foundry figures if that helps.
I´ve ordered them and when they arrive i dont mind to take some comparative photos with other manufacturers.

They're sculpted by Mike Owen so should scale pretty well with Artizan.

Right, figures arrived today. Great service as always from Gorgon.  :D

And now, the great reveal. The paintwork on the website doesn't help..

From L to R;

Lee
Vin
Chico
Britt
Harry
Chris
Bernado

They are great figures and the sculpting is really top notch. Without the misleading paintwork it's much easier to see who is who. Recommended.  :D

Ray,

I had a post written as a response to a few comments in this thread,  but figured once they arrived that they would speak for themselves.  Glad they arrived and that you like them.

To the thread,  pretty simple if you are a fan of Mike Owen's work,  as I am,  and in particular his Old West work ( Foundry,  Artizan, etc ) , confident that these will not disappoint.

We are always looking for painting talent,  and if someone with the right skills wants to paint anything in Gorgon Studios range,  get in touch.

-Hank

Any UK Supplier.

Unfortunately, no. But Gorgon are great to deal with, I received mine in the UK within a week.  :D

@Hank. I wasn't knocking the actual paintwork, just some of the choices of colours schemes are a little misleading, especially on something as iconic as the magnificent seven.  ;)

I know I shared a doubt on Chris' twin holster rig, but having searched google images there are several pictures of him with that set up. I just didn't remember ever seeing it in the film. Guess I need to watch it again (the agony...  ;)).

As an aside, anyone who can get Mike to sculpt Old West again will get my business, I've long been a fan of his work, and I'm pleased to see Gorgon producing these and others.

Any more in the works?  ;)

Chris wears the twin holster rig in the second film( Return of the magnificent sevn?) not in the first film.
Sad that I know that, but I notice those things. lol

@Ray - No worries, We certainly did not take it that way,  and are fortunate to have a number of great painters involved in Gorgon Studios.  But always looking for more as we always stuff to paint.

Oddly enough,  I just assumed that anyone male, my age or older,  especially a friend of mine, and a gamer had seen the Magnificent Seven and would not be watching it for the first time in research for painting.  Right,  Jamie?  It is required watching at my house for my four boys...  ;)

iconic as the magnificent seven.

This is the key,  there is not a lot of upside to produce iconic and daresay sacred subject matter.    It is next to impossible to live up to the expectations,  whether it is the clothing, pose, gear  etc.   It is just so special to a wide variety of people.  In our case,  ultimately the end result only has to make us happy and hopefully some of people like them as well.   Not that I am that easy to please.  But the one thing that always surprises me about Owens work is his ability to capture the faces of the subject matter.

A UK/EU stockist :  This is sort of tough for us.  Gorgon Studios is really a hobby for those of us involved.  We produce what we are interested in, normally something we are gaming and in the process make it commercially available to those with like interests if that makes senses.  Trade agreements, stockists, commercial packaging, and shipments given the small size of our ranges would involve significant more work on our end.   Our real life day jobs,  family and AdeptiCon provide enough work at the moment it seems.  But definitely something we would like to do to someday.  We certainly understand the frustration of not being about to source product locally.
