Landwasters and Raven Feeders Game II 28/10/15
« on: October 12, 2015, 08:11:47 AM »
Had my first induction into the world of Lion Rampant at the club last Thursday.

I wasn't actually playing as explained in my blog but picked up enough to absorb the basics. We're going to be playing a Late C14 Campaign at the club in a month or so which will be English vs Scots so I'm starting to build up a retinue for that now- I still haven't decided whether to go for Scots, Islemen or French Allies but all that will be settled when I tally up which Claymore Castings I have already. (not the one's for the nest demo game in case your reading boss ;):) ).

I'll be sure to document all of our games when the campaign begins.

Without further ado here are the pics from the game, as usual you can see many more on my Just Add Water blog here:

Cheers,
Darrell.

Very nice game, full of long hair and axes!  :)

I expect to try this ruleset this next weekend.

Sounds interesting Darrell. Is the campaign loosely set around Otterburn then?

I look forward to seeing your painting on the Claymore castings figures.  :D

You really should do so- it's a very fluent game. moments of violence punctuated by the odd moment of frustration which is always a good mix  :D

I've got no idea as Dave hasn't revealed any details but the date as pf yet. Having said that it will certainly be roughly within that timescale :)

Oh, me too. They paint up a treat and are very good castings which is always a plus, cleaning up mini's can be a chore :)

Looking forward to seeing your Claymore figures when you get some painted Atheling, just got some Scots for myself, and they are very nice, a little tidy up around the hands needed, but some of the best 28mm ive seen for a long time. I played a game of Lion Rampant at my club a couple of weeks back, and loved it, i finally had an excuse to paint some of these wonderful figures. My 40mm dark ages are on the back burner for a while.
