Space 1999 Eagles and Hawks
« on: October 26, 2015, 11:28:09 AM »
Hi everyone!
This past weekend I finished painting my small fleet of ships for Space 1999. I plan to run a few games at the club and I do not need a huge force of ships. I hope you like the miniatures.

Cute little things. It's great when you finish off those last little bits.

Nice classic look. What sort of game are you going to run with them?

First blog in series says 'Shapeways.' Now, you have to ask 'which store?'  lol

Yes, do tell from which shop you got those Hawks, as I am seriously contemplating a Warp War vanity project and I'm gong to need some suitable System Ships... :D

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the replys! So the shop is on Shapeways and it is called "Mechanoid" here is  a like to his main page http://www.shapeways.com/designer/mechanoid
Searech under 1:1000 and you will find his space 1999 stuff. For my project I got these eagleshttp://www.shapeways.com/product/3U4PP4STG/spacer1999-transports-1-1000-scale?li=shop-results&optionId=41000075
and for the Hawks from http://www.shapeways.com/product/H9U55AQXU/spacer1999-hawk-mk-ix-squadron?li=shop-results&optionId=8724166

For the game I plan to run the game using Colonial Battlefleet rules.  I have made some data cards for the ships and I have not tried out the rules but that will come in the near future.

Thanks for all the questions and I hope to see some more Space 1999 ships out there!!

Cool, did you happen find a good source for a hex mat? I've been looking for a good one for quite a while now to play Colonial Battlefleet.

Kewl! Accessories for Konami birds. Now, where the hell did I put those?

mbrien, YPU, you'll have to tell me how that goes. I've a heck of a lot of rulesets, many just for reading and comparing, but their fora marketing SO put me off, I never picked up a copy of CB.

YPU: Do you frequent The Miniatures Page? Plenty 'o discussions of mats there.
