Nice report. There's a load of great die casts suitable for 20mm so you might as well use them I reckon. I've got 28mm figures and the 1:50 diecasts are very useful. The towel fabric you've used works especially well for Vietnam.

Great write up - always good to see 20mm 1/72 minis and likewise we do not see enough Vietnam - what was unclear is what rules were you using? Look forward to seeing the ancients game.

We use a free set downloaded years ago from the Internet. I can't honestly recall from where though now. They use a card driven activation system and % dice for combat with a number of Dx6s for movement. They allow for helicopter gunships and bombing but our games are usually too small for the latter.

A great write up of a very tense game, not knowing when or where Charlie will appear next makes for a very challenging game. Honours must go to Sgt. Paddock's section who withstood everything thrown at them for most of the game, the medic, De Forrest doing sterling work patching up men and keeping them in the fight, only two finally succumbing to their wounds. Great stuff.
