This is not a test, well, it is a test, actually
« on: November 08, 2015, 09:10:35 AM »
I recently bought a copy of This is Not a Test by Worlds End Publishing. Before anything else, let me say that for an independently published set of rules the quality of the graphic design is exceptional.

In this game you buy a gang from different themed factions, Mine was a regular faction, the Adelaide Arcology Constabulary (AKS Peacekeepers) patrolling the ruins of the crumbling city from my opponents, water starved raiders from the northern deserts.

Below are some pictures of a skirmish among the ruins of Rundle Mall.

Great terrain set-up and figures!

The grass is green teddy bear fur on linoleum tiles.

Green was the only colour I could find in Sydney. Oh how I envy people who can buy the yellow stuff ;-)

I cut 'the grass' with nail scissors till my fingers go numb, and use it to clean my brushes with to get the colour variations.

Linoleum tiles have the advantages of being strong, beer proof and portable.

Where are the dog minis from?

Thats a very good question Sir! I´m interested about the origin of this dogs too!

And aside from that a very nice table. It reminds me a bit on " I am Legend" with the long bushy grass areas.

That is some seriously nice teddy bear fur (I assume!), how did you achieve it if you don't mind me asking?

Zaheer, I covered the grass a little earlier, I just hope that linoleum and teddy bear fur are not carcinogenic.

Exploding youth: The dogs, like the peacekeepers are Mongoose Starship Troopers range.

When they stopped supporting the game, I bought a whole lot cheaply. Its surprising how useful they have been.

Great Batrep, I like the teddy fur mat as well, it really looks like a significant period of time has gone on between the "event" and 'now'.

Cheers
Matt
