Agree about the basing, the autumn feel presents something different to the usual green we apply to our bases, its a nice change!

Thanks again :)

The Autumnal basing is a happy accident as I'm painting a lot of stuff up for Hastings simultaneously and using the same basing method :)

I'm happy to confirm that Colin's old and new Arthurians are utterly compatible. They look beltingly good together in fact.

I stumbled on this part of the GB range in the wake of the "Mrs Ragnar''s birthday" sale. I'm over the moon that I did, though my wallet feels otherwise.

Thus far I've only bought the Saxon Huscarl set (for Hastings) and the mini's are very compatible. I'll post up a shot of a base later on to illustrate the point.

Yeah, I'm really pleased with the Huscarls and Ceorls thus far thanks Sascha.

I've got some Footsore Thegns mixed into another batch that also look good size wise. It's amazing what a coat of paint will do!

Just got to bite the bullet and get around to finishing the bases!!  o_o o_o o_o

Not a criticism of your paint work, which is outstanding, or of your basing, but does anyone else wish that manufactures would start making more figures that would look 'comfortable' in the second rank. I had the same trouble with my Perry Crusaders and they are better than most.

Nice work though, very, very nice.
