Just finished watch "By the sword divided" an 1980s ECW movie in 10 parts it's up on You tube.  It is well worth watching for those interested in this time period.

BBC tv series originally.
Series 1 (the Civil War) was better than series 2 (Commonwealth & Interregnum) if only because series 1 had Brigadier Peter Young as technical advisor, so the military scenes used re-enactors who looked reasonable and knew how to drill etc., but series 2 didn't and used extras who were poorly dressed and bothered about sniping through the trees etc.

Yep. There should be 20 episodes in total. Some venerable actors in there, some who went on to become famous, and a couple that i really liked who apparently never worked again!
