Painting "Indian" skintones?
« on: November 24, 2008, 05:40:15 PM »
Does anyone know a good online tutorial for painting realistic native american skintones? I'm having a problem in painting one of my Outlaws, as he keeps coming out too red...

A couple of articles I've found useful for painting all kinds of different skin tones:

http://www.jenova.dk/Skintones.htm

Hope they help! :)

The Egyptian one on the above link looks pretty good to me. It's similar to the effect I've got with my Apache.

edit: Strange that neither site seems to have any Native American Indians featured. everyone but them, apparently :?

I would have thought that they would be a popular choice for painters.

I guess you must have not noticed, Gluteus, but that first article I posted on CMON has three pages! ;)

Page 2 has Native American and Latin American skintones. Direct link: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/310/page/2

Thanks - just found her, browsing the Jenova site... I think there's a couple of Egyptian females I need for my Pulp campaign...  ;)
