Damaged Lich Lord Nickstarter
« on: November 25, 2015, 01:07:49 AM »
So I got my box in the mail a couple days ago.  The corner was crushed in.  unfortunately it was the same corner the cultists were packed into.  One sprue was damaged.  I emailed "mailorder@northstarfigures.com" but have gotten no response.  Does anybody have an alternate email I could try?  thanks.

You could have pm'd Nick on this forum first....

It's going to be a busy time for them with getting all the nickstarters out, so their reply to emails might be understandably slower. I agree that a private message to Nicknorthstar on here would have been a better option than publicly posting about it at this stage. The whole "if you're happy with our service tell others, if not tell us" that you see in some shops. :)

I have had the odd problem in the past ..... in my experience .... you could not hope for a more "no quibble", no hassle, happy to help, response than Northstar.

Don't panic.

As we said Harry why broadcast this openly ?

I would understand if he hadn't had a reply after a week plus.

Northstar have done a great job sorting out this nick starter ...they have kept us informed every inch of the way and have delivered. Inevitably goods will get damaged ... That's life...however it must have taken some crush to destroy a sprue in a box which was in a box etc... Sorry rant over....

Given you have decided to air your complaint can you share a picture of the crushed sprue?

I would be happy to donate the broken bit.

Rant over again....

To give folks who have enjoyed positive experiences buying stuff from Northstar in the past to say "Don't panic". :D

But that doesn't always work....we never got a resolution to the broken & missing pieces my group ended up with from the first Nickstarter. Which is why we went elsewhere for the second.

I've had equally bad problems with communications with Northstar - and won't ever use them again.

edit: deleted sordid story of horrific service, what's the point?

The original poster neither "broadcasted" nor griped... he asked for another means of contacting Northstar. Nothing more. No need to chastize him for not giving them enough time or contacting "Nick" by PM here, is there?

All sympathies for a broken item, but a crushed corner in a box sounds more like the doing of your friendly mailman than the item's original supplier.

We aren't perfect, and we don't claim to be. We always try to resolve problems to the customers satisfaction, looks like we failed RobH, apologies for that.

Sometimes though, the stories from our side about dealing with the great general public would make your teeth turn white.

What color were their teeth originally?  :D
