I have pre-ordered. It's great that my friends and I can chuck in our figures from our fantasy collections and get a great game from them! Looking forward to it!

Does Osprey do sculpting books?

They have quite a few modelling books, but it looks like most of them are about mucking about with existing models, especially vehicle kits and specific WWII troops. (fallschirmjager and the like) I have their more general Modelling Scale Figures, but most of it's along the lines of "here's how to clean mould lines off a mini", "how to paint a knight with oils" and "how to paint a goblin with acrylics". There's a grand total of five and a half pages about sculpting with putty, which is about two paragraphs of text, some pics about sculpting a waistcoat on a mini, and some pics about sculpting a model from scratch. And that kinda looks like this tutorial.

IM(H)O these'd be better choices to start with:

My wallet was already shaking after Black Friday madness and I have had to get Dragon Rampant plus the Orcs and the Dwarves books.

You can be proud of yourselves!

Thanks for the heads up. Ordered this plus one of the boardgames - The King is Dead which looks interesting and reminds me a little of Defender of the Crown visually

Are Books etc a serious buisness? Offering it at nearly half price before it is even released?

I've been buying from Books Etc for years without a problem - and get an extra 5% off with a lifetime membership taken out years ago. Buying Ospreys from them seems to be one of the wargaming world's major secrets as they have always been so much cheaper than buying elsewhere, particularly compared to Amazon.

I see it's marked as 'in stock' on the Osprey site too. Time to camp by the front door.
