Great cavalry - Republican regular and irregulars covered! (Except more regular lancers - either that or I buy lots of the one figure and various of the others and start chopping arms and heads off...)
So, the big question is what's up next Ged?
Since you often ask for suggestions (and I know I've made several!) I was working out forces for Sharp Practice yesterday and basically coming up with a wishlist.
So, granted I know next to nothing of the costs, time etc of getting figures made, and most of these have probably already been mentioned, and the fact that you aren't making a range dedicated solely to SP, but whilst I'm on a roll...
- Republican Infantry command - say a couple of officers and a standard bearer. This has got to be a quick win surely?
- A couple more poses in stovepipe, maybe marching or advancing. Again with a couple of command/leader/character types.
- More infantry in kepi: at the moment you've got 1, some more of those would work for either Republican or Imperial, again that would probably be a quick win. Especially if there's a couple of officer types in there.
- Mexican Artillery: you've already got a couple of guns with the French, and suitable artillery pieces can be sourced elsewhere I'm sure, so for ease how about a generic set of crew, again would probably work for Republican or Imperial.
- Imperial Cavalry, of course!
- Some more generalised Foreign Legion
But I think from those there would be enough to put together some decent forces, what with what you've already released. (Purely from the perspective of my ideas for SP forces of course!)
After that:
- More French - loads of scope for other French units.
- Would be nice to see some more Belgians but, realistically there's enough there for a small unit in SP. Same with the Austrians and the Contra-Guerillas.
- Mounted Contra-Guerilllas
- Other more obscure types, Slovakian volunteers anyone?
If by any chance you have any of these on the burner, my money is here waiting
On a slightly different angle, I was wondering whether the Perry plastic confederates might be converted into mexicans, if I can find sombreros for them...
Ok, more like a list of demands than a wishlist, but it's only because the figures are so flippin' good!
