The Frost Awakens
« on: December 21, 2015, 02:28:21 PM »
I've only just got into wargaming this last year, it started with my friends playing Warhammer, I thought it looked fun, so had a go and was hooked.

A couple of months ago my friend mentioned Frostgrave, and after playing a bit of Mordheim (WyrdWars ruleset) and liking the 'skirmish' style game, this looked right up my street. Got the rulebook and have been collecting, building & painting everything needed to get a campaign going since then, as like others, this has really piqued my interest.

Having found a lot of inspiration on here and on Facebook groups, I thought I'd start my own thread to keep all my progress in one place.

Any feedback/questions/comments welcomed!

The First Warband

This is my first completed warband, originally used as my Mordheim band, now travels between the two.

Wurrzag The Weird (r) & his apprentice Beeblebrox (l)

Infantrymen / Templars

3 Thieves & a Warhound

Marksman, Barbarian & Crossbowman/Archer

That was the plan!  He's an illusionist that just likes messing with people, hence his most used spells being Telekinesis to keep moving treasure away from opposing warbands, and swapping the position of soldiers, both his and the enemies, with Transpose.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think my skill as a photographer is bolstering my skill as a painter, as these were just base coloured, washed & highlighted!

Already got my next warband built, just have to find the time to paint them up!

My Wizard for my second warband: Vigo Carpathian

He's a summoner with the following spells; Animal Companion, Reveal Secret, Raise Zombie, Plague of Insects, Summon Demon, Elemental Ball, Beauty & Imp

He will be joined by his Apprentice, Captain & warhound with the rest of the soldiers being made up from the cultists box until I finish painting the higher priced models.
