Snow! Come and join the fun
« on: December 15, 2015, 07:34:01 PM »
Here is an idea for a light hearted thread during the holiday season. Post a photo (or several) of your toys in the snow. It can be real, or imitation. To kick off here are some 54mm Sutherland Highlanders from the Great War trudging up to the front through a mix of flock and plain flour. It is about 75-25 in favour of flock. Any era, any scale. The only constant has to be that snow is the predominant ground surface. Anyone up for this?

We are looking at 16 degrees Celsius over here today; I had to break out my summer coat this morning, because I'd slow boil in my bomb-proof winter parka with these temperatures.  ::)

So yeah; not very festive here yet.

On the up side; I will swing by the tree guy after work today to buy one, so who knows; we might still get into the spirit on time after all.

But with these temperatures, we might change the traditional Xmas dinner into an Xmas BBQ...  lol
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

We just got 25cm in 24hours!  I've shoveled four times, and I'll probably have a go at it again tomorrow.  Enjoy the sun!

There is a very confused camellia blossoming just a block away from my house in the local park...

But the snow on the local mountains looks incredible today. Sorry I'm running with the tangent and not posting a 'snowy mini', I'll see what I can come up with asap.

Meanwhile, gleðileg jól everyone, and thanks Bezzo, for carrying the holiday spirit.  8)

No snow or cold weather yet in Germany's Stuttgart region.

I am HOPING that I do not get to participate in this thread.  Gimme warm(ish) weather all winter long!  I'll take a double helping!

Since Frostgrave seems all the rage, here are some 10mm coppelstone miniatures in the snow.
