Westwind Orcs by Pete Taylor
« on: November 15, 2008, 05:47:37 PM »
Its a long time since my mate Pete had his stuff in WD etc. and his interests have wandered a long way from miniatures in recent years so I was quite pleased when he turned up last night with some recent work.
Heres a few of the Westwind Orcs he has done.

I am hoping to rekindle his interest and get him painting again.

Wow, he's used a very bold choice of colours. They look nothing like your usual run-of-the-mill orcs [with possible exception of the green chap at the bottom].

I like his style and he definitely should get painting and posting more stuff here!

This is the first I've seen of the WW Orcs and looking at how your mate has done his, I can see me getting some for use in my SF/VSF games as well as the more usual fantasy games. They would make great low-tech aliens in 5150 etc.

I'm well impressed  :-*

I've not read many WDs in the past, so have missed out on Pete's [and, apparently, Admiral Benbow's] work featured in there.

I wonder how many more "big names" are  hidden beneath LAF usernames.........  ???

Very nice painting.

I also drooled upon his conversions and minis back then. Is there more of his work online ?

We want so much when we need so little. But the illumined man wants for nothing.
