Stunning!

I'm not a fan of NMM, but you make it look natural (and easy).

I just watched '300' a couple of weeks ago, and I can see myself paint a few Spartans... just for the sport....
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Nice work OT :D

Looks a bit spartan, though ...  lol

Don't worry.  I'll get my own coat.

Nice paint job. THe angle of the pictures makes him look like he is riding a bouncy space hopper!

 lol

I like NMMs if they are done well [like this figure] and they look a lot better under varnish than true metallics.

IIRC, Neldoreth has done some fine examples elsewhere in LAF.

Shame I can't do them  :(

Maybe so, but I never varnish my minis  :)

Have to ask:

"With a brand new bottle I decant some of the carrier into a clean container and retain.

Stir the remaining carrier and matting agent together, then shake the bottle vigorously."

Does this mean that the varnish comes in 2 separate containers - or does it mean that the matting agent settles at the bottom of the bottle?

Yes.  Well, "settles at the bottom..." implies the bottle contains mainly carrier.  With a new bottle most of the contents looks milky white, then at the top there is a layer of translucent liquid - the carrier.

When I first started using this varnish I just mixed it all together.  Then the tip about making it "even more matt" was passed to me.   :)
