So many possibilities! Again, I'm lost in admiration of the talented modellers and painters on the LAF  :)

Why not try a mastaba? It should be very easy, just a largish rectangle of bricks. You might want to cut a foam core and line it with bricks.  ???

Finishing the biggest part of my buildings and terrains by now, I wonder what I will play on this table... >:D
Some historical event maybe...

Caesars trip into Egypt  ;)....no I don´t think so....
or Napoleons oriental adventure  :?...no not at all
I think it´s PULP !!

Some creeping mummies, tomb raiders, confused archaeologists, desert creatures...yeah these kind of things  ;D

So I took a little inventory especially looking for all those little fig´s that might be helpful...

of course jackals, lions, scorpions and snakes are dwelling in this ancient site

some undead servants of pharao may also appear occasionally

well, I bought these little guys about 18 years and painted a few, but did not knew which use i could make of them...until know  >:D
Of course they do not look wery egyptian by now...all these weapons  :-[... but with a little touch up they could be very useful...

@flogglestreet

a mastaba....mmmmmh  ::) worth thinking about

And the Jackals? I relly need jackals for my western desert..... (west of the Nile, that is...)
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Regarding desert creatures, have you considered doing some mythical ones as well? Check out the link below, it's the old "Valley of the Pharaohs" RPG from Palladium which is now freely downloadable. The third section includes some pretty bizarre mythical creatures, including one with the body of a lion and the head of a snake. It could be pretty easy to convert out of a spare lion and snake miniature.

Anyone looking for some inspiration on ancient Egypt should check it out. It's not a very big book but you still get more than you pay for :)
"When to keep awake against the camel's swaying or the junk's rocking, you start summoning up your memories one by one, your wolf will have become another wolf, your sister a different sister, your battle other battles, on your return from Euphemia, the city where memory is traded." - Italo Calvino
