Submarine?
« on: December 01, 2008, 04:49:48 PM »
I used this chap in my sphere photo's and I thought I would show the whole thing. Its a good few years old now, I scratched it from a picture by Kevin Dallimore, I did not know it was a model on sale at the time ::) before you all start calling me a tight wad lol

Very nice Svennn. I remember seeing the original photo somewhere on the net. You 've done a great job on copying it. :) I think the original is by Flagship games.
I would never call you a tight wad... Don't know you well enough yet lol

I think that it looks fantastic, especially for a scratchbuilt piece. Well done!

I know exactly which picture you're talking about - I saw it and was green with envy too. However I didn't go out and scratchbuild one of my own.  ;)

Why spend a fortune when you can build one that looks as good as yours?

.....brings to mind the old joke of tighter than a crab's posterior at 40 fathoms, which is singularly appropriate for a submarine.  Well done.  Lokks great!

I'll just note that fellows behind Flagship are fine people -- AND they're having a Xmas sale on their Pirates line, which includes the inspiration for this sub and other nifty pieces. 20% off their Pirates resin until Xmas. Several more subs and monitors there.

Very nice scratch build. I wish I had the time to do that amongst all the other projects I have and new 'urgent' ones that people spring on me (yes Malamute and Dean, I'm talking about you guys enthusing me to resurrect my French expeditionary force for Venus ....) ;)
