What a great idea that "glowing blue eyes" thing is! I might have to steal that for ... erm ... something at some point. If I can pull it off, that is. Good to see an appearance from Lord Aquila and Gladius too - was just looking at mine the other day and thinking: "I really should paint them at some point ..."

Cheers guys ! If you want to give the glowing eyes a try, I've put the link to the tutorial to paint these guys, nothing extraordinary really ! The heroic fighters of the known world really are a great set and iconic like no other !

Not often I can claim that but I actually finished a model in a night (from primed to fully based) !

This time it's a low level wizard for my champions of Law who will conviniently play the apprentice in my frostgrave games as well !

He's rather small when compared to the other members but hey, he's a rookie after all !

Mor about him in the associated blogpost HERE and I'll soon have a little more to share about him and his companions so for now I'll just leave you with a teaser ;)

Cracking job as usual JB  :)

I love the muted tones with the bronze pieces  :D

Did you use Lensfx for the lightning bolt?

Cheers

Lovely stuff! I'll echo others comments about the great colour palette on these and I've always had a soft spot for hex bases! :)

Hex bases are the only way to go now ;)
Cheers, it was a pleasure coming back to that warband after a pause, I have one final model to add (maybe more who knows) which I'm eager to start working on !

Looks good, and I like the action photo too!

Just out of curiosity, what's the concept behind the hound?

Cheers, well I built this warband by converting chaotic model into laful ones and then I started adding other elements like Menilboneans and all. I wanted to represent every possible entry so I needed a beastman or a demon. While I was looking for bits I found those and thought it would be a cool concept to have "elevated" animals who have achieved a higher form of existence (sort of) thanks to the powers of the gods of Law to reward them for their service to hunt Chaos. That or maybe it's just a plain old lesser demon, I don't know exactly ^^ I thought it was funny to play with the beastman/demon ideas a bit !

Pretty simple, I've written a tutorial (link HERE), nothing really hard in it really. The phots are flattering but this is just a straightforwad speed job

Thanks guys, I have one last model for this warband that will take a little while but which should be great ;)

OK, this is a commission I made in exchange for an illustration. The Ogre is an old ogre hero from the Fantasy Warlord range (circa 91) and the goblin is from Redbox games but the pair just works wonderfully I find (not my choice).

I strongly advise you to go check the illustrations, backstory and musical inspirations I used for this pair on which I had to push my limits a little. (Blogpost HERE).

Blimey, that's good. Like a Paul Bonner illustration stepped off the page.
