@ Kyusumu: I know what you mean.  They were the 1st fantasy figures I got.  My parents bought the fantasy regiment box and I split the box with my brother.  The way we played with those figures makes me cringe still today!  You can see some of the Orcs and Goblins a few posts up.

My knights just received some retainers to help them keep the Orcs and Goblins away.  I plan on having every knight have at least 2 or more retainers.  They are from Black Tree Designs and are some nice figures.

Looking at some of the knights, I need to hit them again with another layer of dull coat.
I would apologize for the pic heavy post, but everyone always loves some pics :)
Let me know what you think.

I like your choice of colours.
And a very nice paintjob it is, too.

Thanks, I borrowed/stole the pale blue and off white from somewhere but I cannot remember from where.  The pictures I have of figures painted this way were for Warhammer Quest.

Just found this thread, and realy glad that I did.
I really like your painting style and particularly like what you did with the Orcs and Goblins at the beginning of the thread.
Brown skintones on goblinoids have always been my preference too.

That's really neat. :) I've been wanting to do something similar for a long time, and just never got around to it.
Also always good to see painted Black Tree stuff - their own pictures are so terrible you are never quite sure how the miniatures look  :D

@affun, funny you mention that.  I am currently painting some figures for Black Tree Design so they can add some pics of their figures painted.

I just finished painting some Orcs and Lizardmen for Black Tree Design.  Both were fun to paint.  I like that the orcs look like they mean business.  The lizardmen give me that old school vibe.  Any c&c is welcome.  More pictures of other angles at http://theparadeground.blogspot.com/

I really like those orcs. I've never seen them on the black tree site before. Are these releasing new minis

I believe they are from an old figure line that they are thinking of bringing them back.

I hope I'm not breaking too many rules by bringing this topic back up.  But since it's mine I hope I can get away with it  :)
Just finished some halflings that have been called to defend their gardens from the pillaging orcs.

The figures are from Black Tree Design.

Really cool thread and collection you got there. Black Tree Designs figures are some of my favourites. Throughout all of their ranges I have yet to see an infantry model that isn't great (the WW2 guns are a bit wonky, but whatever).

Great photography too. Do you use the grass mat and bushes in the background and then have a model train background or just a background picture on your computer screen or something like that? Or do you have a full box setup with that background?

Behold a Beholder!

@Battle Brush Sigur, The background is a photo that I had printed off.  The base board is foam with a grass mat put on it and some bushes glued to the back edge.  Nothing fancy but it's better than pictures on my cutting board  :)

Here is a Hill Giant from BTD.  I like how gangly he looks.  I tried for a weathered skin look, not sure if I pulled it off tho...

Thanks for looking,

Justin
