This project is so cool.

For assembly, perhaps create the parts with inset sockets into which interested parties could glue rare-earth magnets (available from any number of other merchants)?

@dave - this is all fantastic work!  i'm looking forward to seeing more.  and having it be all painted and appearing in an AAR.  maybe there's interest (other than just me) for having just seperate doors and windows to put on "flat" buildings (boxes, foamcore, and the like).

Yes! Hydrants! Sandwich Boards! Trashcans! Power Thingies! Chimblies!

All the good bits that help tell a tale.

fantastic work!  only things missing are streetlights and phone booths.  now stop all this teasing - it really makes me want to buy everything.

This looks really great. I am thinking about buying a 3D printer myself. Maybe there is the option (and a future market) to sell the files so that customers can print this at home. I sure will be tempted by this option.

Cheers,

Za

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. Glad you are liking it. I still have some fine tuning to do before I seriously consider offering these pieces to other folks, but here's what it looks like glued together and with a little bit of paint ---

Love it all!  Particularly the "bits"!  +1 on the lamp standards.

Green and red make it look American, but I bet it'd look close to European with a dark brown/black/navy shop face and white/cream bricks and perhaps a different roof.

Thanks guys! Glad you like it.

I've got a few different designs going for streetlights, but have not settled on one that I really like so far. What kind would you like to see?

A simple 'globe on a pole'. Something that won't get hooked on a sleeve or cuff...

The right-hand examples in this picture are pretty much exactly what I'm thinking.

As much as I would love something more ornate, I suspect it would become an obstacle to play fairly often.

I like the over hanging versions.  No worse than trees on a table really.  Love the stoplights too!
