Miniature Suggestions for En Garde ?
« on: 19 January 2016, 01:29:45 PM »
So I'm quite interested in Ospreys newest ruleset, En Garde. I like the whole swashbuckling aspect but i'm kind of stumped when it comes to available ranges regarding what I want.

Pirates - Got a ton of those so I'm good for that.
Three Musketeers - AFAIK there are only 3 sets
Scarlet Pimpernel - ?

I'm looking for a kind of 'Nobleman and women in Venetian Masquerade dress'. Including the awesome long-nose mask.

Only range I seem to find though is the 32mm Carnivale range which is nice but too big.

I think Foundry used to have a few figures that might suit - although their plague mask figures are (from memory) just plague doctors.

For Pimpernel figures, any French Revolutionary types should do. Again, Foundry used to have a good selection.
But they are quite small compared to other ranges.

If you want bigger figures, Trent have military types from the 1790s
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

It will be the Brigade games ones. I hope they get the whole range for the launch.

Some of the assassins (Brotherhood) from Freebooter's Fate might do?

Might be quite large, though.

For me, En Garde could be excuse to finally get some of the LA Landsknechts.
