Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

No mounted in Abyssinia, I think; Palestine, Trans-Jordan and Syria, with the regular forces deployed there during the Arab Revolt and with the war-formed 1st Cavalry Division.  The units also included the last of the unmechanised regular cavalry, the Household Cavalry Composite Regiment, the  Royal Dragoons, and the Scots Greys.

According to his own Facebook posts, Michael Perry sculpted the Yeomanry cavalry with the Syrian campaign in mind.

I have had the Syria campaign in mind ever since I read England's Last War Against France by Colin Smith but have been putting it off because  i I never through I would be so well supplied with figures. Having seen these I can no longer hold back. My mind is made up- 2016 is WW2 in Syria- look out you Frenchies!
Theres more 28mm Superhero Madness at my blog, http://fourcoloursupers.blogspot.com/

in Abyssinia, there were at least a Free French Moroccan Spahi squadron, the european NCO's and spahis wearing british uniforms ... according to Thierry Moné, Spahis historian ( and former commanding officer of the 1st Spahis ) :
but with wolesley helmet ...
They performed the last cavalry charge of the french army ...

The Moroccan spahis are in the pipeline too ... they will be usable on both side for Syria ...

BTW, when i saw the Yeomanry minis in Topee, they reminded me of "The Lives of a Bengal Lancer" with Gary Cooper ... a movie i saw many times on the french TV in the 60's ... yes, i'm quite old  ;)

They are some of the nicest figures I have seen from a 28mm manufacturer. I wish I was going down that path but have decided on the Abyssinnia conflict instead. My KAR are underway, mostly BH with some Perry DRs to fill the platoon.
Cheers,
