Well, actually I'm lying because it's raining outside right now - but hey at least it's not snow, right? Lol
Anyway, glad to be aboard the forums! Especially after trying for hours yesterday to get on because I was overthinking the 'not a spambot' test on the front page, looking at the color and position of the number rather than just the number
.
So anyway, I've been a gamer since 1978 when my Mum and Dad bought me a copy of Avalon Hill's Starship Troopers boardgame (thankfully not based on the movie, which didn't exist for another couple of decades) and that was all she wrote! In the last 38 years I've played board wargames, rpgs and miniatures games of all varieties and have amassed a considerable collection of all of them, including two board wargames I co-designed with a friend that were professionally published by The Gamers/Multiman Publishing. I'm originally from the UK but I moved to Florida in 2001 to marry my wife; since then I've primarily been a miniatures gamer. I love painting minis, probably a lot more than I do playing the games that use them, and currently my focus is on games that use less minis but a lot more terrain! This means things like Pulp, Frostgrave, Old West, Infinity etc and this seems to be the perfect board to read and talk about them
Looking forward to talking to you all soon!
Bob
