Schrumpf painting
« on: January 26, 2016, 10:04:31 AM »
I decided to start a separate topic only for painting. Mostly old models but also a few newer ones that I have queued up.

Let's start with a true classic!

Hobol Firebreath! My first monster ever. What a fantastic model he still is...

I was also toying with colour schemes for some knightly order of the new Halflings.

That's a terrific troll! The subdued colour scheme is superb: you can't quite be sure that he hasn't been petrified by the sun - until you notice his eyes ...

As you say, those old Perry trolls are classics. I don't think Citadel/GW have ever done better trolls, or even ones that are nearly as good - and they've had 30+ years to try!

That is one UBERCOOL & BEAUTIFULLY painted/base Troll; he's one of those Old Citadel pieces that I've seen, but he never made it to my then-local hobby shop. The Halfing Knight is just as WONDERFULLY painted & base with an equal amount of charm & character. Both are VERY WELL DONE indeed!
