Copenhagen DFFCON 16 march 19-20
« on: January 30, 2016, 02:02:47 PM »
Hi All
Well we are getting ready for DFFCON 16 which will be at the National Museum this year. The reason is the Naval museum in Copenhagen has closed and they are moving the displays to the Army Museum. Not sure what this means to us in the future. But we will see how much space we have at the army museum once the move is done. But for now we have a really nice space in the National Museum which is only a stones throw from the Army Museum.

Any way we are starting to line up the games and putting together the program.

Right now we have a bunch of great games.

First we have a fantastic looking Chain of Command which two of our club members are putting together winter 1942 with German Panzer grenadiers and lots and lots of Russians. They are creating a fantastic winter battle ground with troops and armour all with that Christmas in hell look!

We also have a gamer coming from Jutland; he is running two naval games. The first the Battle of Køge Bug from 1677 and then on Sunday Jutland. His ships are spectacular.

It also looks like we will have the boys from Copenhagen with In the Clouds of Glory a fantastic looking 1/350 WWI air combat game check it out here http://www.icog.dk/ICOG/Main_page.html

We will also have a Samurai game using Ronin one of the guys is trying to finish up a Samurai Castle in 28mm it is a small castle but he is trying to make it to scale!!!!!  There will be the usual Ninja assassins and innocent country girls!

A Check your six, this will have a stream of 24 B17s (1/300) as the Germans try to attack using everything but the kitchen sink, i.e. Me262, Me162, Fu190s Me109s, Me110 etc, the gamers will roll randomly to see what type of fighter they get to use either attacking of defending the bombers!

We also have what is shaping up to be a fantastic looking 28mm 1808 Spain Sharp Practice game with all the goodies, bandits, rebels, red coats and of course the liberating enlightened French!

Also a WWI game as it is the Somme, which promises to be as bloody and hard fought as history was.

We will also have a Field of Glory Renaissance Italian Wars, a Napoleonic Frigate action using Heart of Oak rules, a Push of Pike game in 10mm and of Course a Saga game or two.

We are also hosting a Bolt action tournament with 10 Tables.

So please drop by the National Museum Copenhagen Saturday the 19th of March and Sunday the 20th of March.

See us aT www.dffcon.dk or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/978961842145714/

Thanks
William

Hi All
Well some important news from DFFCON 16. Due to the closing of the Naval Museum here in Copenhagen and the installation of the displays from that museum to the Army Museum (our Con venue) they are closed the month of March. This is the bad news.

The Good news is that the museum kindly offered us a large room in the National museum which is only a stones throw from the Army Museum.  An added bonus is that we have an extra hour Sunday!

Nationalmuseet, Frederiksholms kanal 12, 1220 København K

The Program is filling out nicely with a great selection of games and a Bolt Action Tournament.
Please make sure to tell all your gaming buddies about the con and we hope to see as many of you as possible at 10am on Saturday the 19th of March.

Here is a list of the games as of today.
Saturday AM
Ronin 28mm Samurai and rumor has it that we will be seeing a Japanese Castle

Push of Pike using the rules of the same name from Warlord games. This will be Thirty Years war with Swedes fighting Germans using 10mm figs.
