Robot Squad.
« on: February 07, 2016, 03:42:50 PM »
I made this robot a while ago... to act as a dreadnought for some converted space Dwarfs:

I then put together this robot... well... because I had spare components and thought I'd just build a robot:

After that I thought about what to do with them... and I decided that I could lump them together and add a few others so that is what I have done. The first one is painted, the second one is paint in progress and the third one... he's Tiny :) :

Tiny is inspired by Mongrol from the ABC Warriors but he won't be a copy. He's obviously WIP and has a way to go... but I have got his arms sorted out:

I have no idea where this little project will end up... but I expect it will get a few smaller robots at some point :).

Very nice. The round torso is something different, I like it.

Cheers :)

The wooden ball is a doll's head from a craft shop.

I was going to use a plastic ball from a vending machine... but I couldn't find it in my bits boxes :( so a wooden doll's head was the next best thing.

I should have really used components for the head (rather than sculpting it) but again, I didn't have anything spare.

Hear, hear!

Inso you magnificently talented sod. Once again making us look bad by comparison.

Actually these sort of remind me of the guy on here doing the "reboot" robots.

Lovely bots!  :-*

Being an ABC fan the mongrel inspired robot is the dog's danglies! :D

If you encounter a Pokemon toy/candy, it could fit nicely as a central torso as well.

It's been quiet on here for a while so it's time to put a picture up... this is Chopper Harley, a WIP Gun Dog and a finished Big Robot on the end:

Gun Dog was added to the squad because I didn't have him planned into anything else and he was awfully lonely on his own :) .

Gun Dog is still paint in progress and Tiny has had his boobs chopped off because I felt they really didn't suit him (no pix... but then there isn't really any additional work to show).
