Help finding a fun zombie game please.

The Zombies board game would be my choice, cheap and simple with several expansions.

are you referring to Zombies!!! ?
If so, I had fun with that, but almost always found that gameplay is too long.
Whenever one is nearing the chopper pad or last needed kills, someone would play a card to have him back at the town square or lose half his/her kills.
I had everything up to Zombies!!! 6, but just gave it away to a friend because after Zombicide I didn't want to play it anymore.

If I'd have to suggest something other than Zombicide, I'd say Last Night on Earth.
Also heard a lot of good things about Crossroads : Dead of Winter, but that is with standees, not figures.
And for all you Zombie nuts out there : Rise of the Zombies. A cardgame you play against the clock. Yes : real time. It's a blast !

Zombicide. Hordes of zombies, check. Cool plastic minis, check. Watching Not-Jason Statham and Not-Gordon Ramsay get eaten alive by the undead, priceless. I think you can put together a team of survivors solely of Not-Expendables, and can definitely do a Big Bang Theory survivor team.

I love Zombicide (have Everything) BUT Crossroads: Dead of Winter (only played 2x) has better game mechanics IMHO.

Echo Zombiecide, but still some love for Last Night on Earth. Much to be said for the trashy American stereotypes. I suppose that kind of begs the question of 'how old is the lass?' 

I remember you mentioning her years ago, but never got an idea of how old she was then.
