Out of curiosity is this effectively Brink of Battle SciFi?

I love the BoB Rules and had been awaiting the above.

Will be grabbing Scrappers either way, just wondered.

Yes, its core mechanics are a refined and leaner version of the Brink of Battle rules. It was tailored for the setting and the prevalence of firearms, etc. and is Sci-Fi Post-Apocalypse. The sci-fi elements are there as Artifacts that are found in the ruins of the Ancients. The firearms manufactured and most of the gear models will use are closer to our era with some exceptions. Oh, and the world is mutated with angry robots running around, so its one helluva a party!

Thanks Manchu, but that's not exactly what I was looking for.

I guess to clarify, I was asking Faust if there were to be any more BoB stand alone sets or if he was planning to go through Osprey for everything from now on. I would certainly welcome Osprey reissue of the Historical and Fantasy versions of his rules as well.

Again, I am getting Scrappers either way.

This is our first time working with a publisher, and Phil & Joe at Osprey have been great to work with. I was concerned that there might be interference from an editorial standpoint since I had self published the first two BoB books. But we had a great experience and were really happy with the feedback from Phil as well as his suggestions that led to a better product in the end. We're really happy with the outcome and hope you all agree. 

That being said, we do have more BoB-verse projects that we'll get back to under our Strategic Elite label. Whether those books will fit into Osprey's publishing schedule or not will be determined at that time. Since we've had a great experience I certainly hope to do more with them. However, they don't prefer 2nd editions of extant games, so we'd probably do that in house when the time comes.

After reading a couple of BoB reviews, I feel quite excited about this rulebook. It seems that my old Ratkin could easily serve as Ecotopians - with a small addition of one or two mutants  

That's perfect viable! Or you could make them a Freelancer Crew full of mutants. Endless options await you in April.
