I hadn't painted any miniatures since before Salute in April Last year. My painting and modelling mojo had all but disappeared and picking up the brushes was too much of a chore. I forced myself to break this deadlock and managed to paint the figures below. I am not overly happy with the results, but at least I am back on the road to recovery

Introducing Ma Bibbly and her Beer wagon. Ma Bibbly is going to be a reoccurring character in our Dorset Smugglers and F&IW games. The wagon and Ma Bibbly are Redoubt Miniatures, the Barrel of Beer (which is removable) is from Hovels Miniatures and Annabelle the Ox is from Front Rank Miniatures.

Here are two pigs from from the excellent Lead Adventure Miniatures range which are superb, characterful sculpts and were great fun to paint. I think I have just about done them justice.

They will be featuring in my game at BLAM later this year which is going to be called "Bring home the Bacon"...

Nice paintwork Nick. And a conversion on Ma Bibbly too, unless I'm much mistaken? (I have that figure, and I'm sure she's pointing a flintlock pistol... )

The pigs are just an obvious attempt to get a grant from the current government. I suspect it will backfire. Maybe add a Bullingdon Club tie to one of 'em.
