I keep checking but no mail from Mark yet ;).

Sounds like good times ahead for fans of Mark's 15mm work.

I never thought to mention, but a fella who comes into our shop (that said we have even had Mark from Copplestone visit) did say he was in contact with Copplestone a lot and said there was the possibility of a new 15mm fantasy range possibly inspired by a certain series  :D

The Copplestone 15mm figures fit well together with other companies making larger 15mm miniatures such as Eureka 18mm fantasy or Magister Militums Blood Dawn series.
As for romans, Blue Moon Manufacturing  (https://www.bluemoonmanufacturing.com/index.php?cat_id=96)  are also 17mm and make republican and imperial romans that fit perfectly with Copplestone's. The miniatures are beautiful (especially the horses) and it is probably not difficult to find a few fantasy elemants to add to them.
I have used the Blue Moon miniatures as early Rohan and the Copplestone barbarians as Forodwaith tribes - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=83555.0

That's very much true; I mix them with Blue Moon, Demonworld and Magister Militum. But then, the average buyer, coming from 28mm+ systems, is used to get it all in one place!

I know it#s not a real issue, but it certainly was an argument against those nice models by people I know!

Just had this reply from Mark Copplestone.

I do have plans to expand the 15mm range and in fact I`m just about to announce some plans that will affect this.  To hear more you should really join our mailing list:

http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/maillist.php

There will be Romans and more Picts , but the first releases will be a pack of Ice Tribe Warriors (like GoTs Wildlings) and an Ice Giant.

This sounds great to me ;).Should make others happy to hear too.

'ere we go! 'ere we go! 'ere we go!

That's f@c{1ng brilliant!!!!

Wow amazing news!
Funnily I have been on his mailing list for years but have never had a newsletter.
It is hard to worship a diety when they ignore you.

I can't believe that this could be true!!! I just hope, this will cause a momentum, that will also be "inspiring" enough to finish the Picts and Dwarves!

This will be the reason we have not seen much from Mark recently. It looks like he has been doing everything himself.

"For the last few years I`ve been really bogged down in casting and general admin stuff and I`m hoping the changes we`re making will free me up to do more sculpting so there should be at least one release a month for existing ranges and perhaps a new 28mm fantasy project too."

 A new 28mm range?Could it be GoT inspired ;).

Northstar had hinted that they were taking on a couple of new ranges. They've just announced they are distributing Agema figures, maybe Copplestone is next?  :D

Leaving orders and distribution to Northstar would free up Mr. C to do some more sculpting.

That could well be the case of Northstar taking over production and orders.I was thinking that they were also going to be getting Pig Iron too.

It will be great to see regular releases from Mark.

I've been slowly painting up Northlanders for a BigHoTT force(s), with plans to add Dwarf allies at some stage. News of the Romans, and others, has just got me rather excited   :o ;D
I've had to finally add myself to the mailing list just to keep a closer eye for these finally being released. In the mean time I suppose I'll have to order some more infantry and bears to keep me going  :D
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.

I kind of like the connection, knowing I'm ordering from Mark. Though even 2-3 orders a day may be eneough, along with real life, to get in the way of sculpting. I mean X Files is playing havoc with my Monday painting!

Perhaps this means that when Barbarica is the next big thing we'll look back fondly to the good old days when it was our thing. Frankly, I'll take more releases and to hell with the cult status.

My order arrived ASAP as usual, it struck me - Postie is a good shot - that the hill Giants actually make good 28mm ogre-ish monsters.
