1st Madras Fusiliers/Neill's Blue Caps (Close Ups Added Page 2)
« on: February 20, 2016, 08:55:51 AM »
Hi Folks,

Some of my Indian Mutiny Brits; 1st Madras Fusiliers or Neill's Blue Caps as they were known for their striking blue forage cap covers.

Hope you enjoy the pic, I'll certainly be adding more images and some close ups of the miniatures will follow hard on the heals on this pic of Col. James Neill's Blue Caps :)

More pics and history regarding the 1st Madras Fusiliers can be seen on my Just Add Water Blog here:

Cheers,
Darrell.

Looks very good. Indian Mutiny is not something I know a lot about, but from what I have seen it looks good on a wargaming table.

I'm looking forward to Ospreys upcoming rules 'The Men Who Would Be Kings'. I have them in mind for The Sudan, and I'm now tempted by The Indian Mutiny after looking at these!

Well done that man!! Done to your usual very high standard!!

Lovely models too. Must say I plan to get a few Iron Duke Brits at some point, as I bought some Mutineer Miniatures mutineers a while back and need some Brits to fight them at TMWWBK...

Love the painting.
ID figures are great and you have done them proud.
I need to get off my butt and get painting the ones I have.
I too, would like to know where the walls in the pic are from.

Thanks for the kind words guys- very much appreciated. :)

Very nice!!! .... (And now the daft question.... Where did you get those walls from?)

I too, would like to know where the walls in the pic are from.

The walls are from Tablescape (link below). I bought four Wall sections and one Gatehouse. They are lightweight resin and come already painted to a decent standard which I didn't realise when I ordered them!  o_o o_o I have to say that the service I received from them was excellent too and they promptly answered the e-mails I shot off to them prior to buying. I've been told that four bastion corner pieces are probably next.

Cheers,
Darrell.

They look smashing. Those scurrilous mutineers had better look out!
