ahhh!!!  You suck.  I just got mine about 3 weeks ago, they will be red some day...  But not painted by me.  Heck, I may steal your picture as a sample to send the painter.   ;)

...no, really.   :)  Thanks, they look sweet!

Hahaha, once you buy and paint Pulp Figures you're addicted :D
They just have so much character and are so much fun to paint up. And they go fast too.
Love what you did. Red is great for cultists.

Today my fresh threshold team went on their first mission. Charles is the leader and has a shotgun and a knife. Pete has a .45 handgun and a knife and Winston controls the tommy gun and also has a knife. The mission I rolled for was Escape ... into danger!

So I put together this lurker list: Cult leader with .22 handgun and knife, cultist with shotgun, cultist with knife, cultist with tommy gun and a Mi-Go.

The table

The road was barricaded so the threshold team had to continue on foot.

But ahead were lurkers

On we go

The lurkers hear a sound and they notice the team

At first they exchange gunfire

While the team slowly advances

Things get messy for the lurkers

After several rounds of shooting and a bit of close combat, all lurkers are dead (minor or major injury) and the fresh threshold team lived to see another day

My custom made templates and counters ;-)

Lucky first game for those Agents by the sounds of it. Also, love those tokens!

Cool game. And a lucky first game is a good start for a campaign. Those tokens are great, I assume you've had them made by Pat's laser cuttings? Excellent designs.

Yes, I gave him what I wanted and some images from the internet and Pat made the tokens (and the boxes and pallets and house I also got from him)

And today, my threshold team was sent to the desert to check out a clue.

Overview

I rolled the fight scenario. My threshold team face a fierce lurker team. A cultist leader, a cultist, a degenerate, a tcho-tcho and a mi-go.

The close combatants (degenerate, tcho-tcho and mig-go) were on full attack

But my team took out the degenerate before he came even close

The Mi-go and Tcho-tcho got in a fight that lasted a while (because both sides rolled shitty on damage and the tough ability saved Winston on one occasion)

When Charles (my leader) decided to disengage (because then I found out he shouldn't have given the rest of the team nominations while in close combat,  :o ) things went messy for the lurkers very quick.

Another victory for the team. I got Pete an auto-advancement and Winston rolled an advancement. And I rolled 1 map-piece.

Sofar so good. The team had a few close calls but still standing strong (and learning the rules better on the way).

I was planning my lurker team but I found out that tentacles can only be summoned? Who or how can I summon? Only the servitor or are there other ways (I can read the whole rulebook from the start again, but some of you probably know exactly where to find it)

Did a final highlight on the mi-go's today.

Ordered some more goodies at Miniaturicum.
Perhaps the easter weekend is a good time to finish all the bases ;-)

Man, you know, I passed on that sculpt and instead went with some plastics I modified.  I still like the model I choose better, but wow.   You really make this model pop!  :o

If I could have yours (already painted), I think I prefer them.  I do not think I could ever paint mine to really "pop" like that.

I can only imagine how much better they look in person.  Well done indeed.

I paint the bottom of my bases black for exactly the purposes of the photo above-

Love the Threshold Waggon!

I'll be honest the very first time I saw this blog I was trying to be encouraging; sir, I see a touch of maddness in your work and encourage you double your efforts! There is outstanding potential in your efforts! (Sorry if I sound like a jerk) Your choice in cultist models and 80's coc rpg models meets with my approval!
