I'm looking for advice.
I have just backed wave 1 &2 option of the Colony 87 Kickstarter and am looking for suggestions for compatible figures/ranges to be working on/painting up til the kickstarter comes. Any suggestions?
Cheers
Alan

Possibly the old Spacelords civilians from Moonraker miniatures (assuming you are after more non combatants)

If you flick through that site, there's plenty of combatants that fit the style. :D

I second the notion of Moonraker/em4.

The Spacelords Yoyodyne Shigaru would make some great combatants I think.   The S.E.C.S. troopers have a very compatible aesthetic as well without the asian influence.

A few others options to consider.
-Blue Moon 28mm Mercs (10 different sets of 10 to to choose from)

-Moonfleet miniatures by Black Cat. Dig deep there's alot of interesting figs in there.

-Heresy has some useful lab types.

-Cobalt-1 from Black hat.

-You would have to pick and chose as many have a bit more "shiny" look to them, but Zombiesmith's Sci-fi aliens has some good options.

...and some old school rules suggestions too?

What size game are you looking for?

By old school do you mean flexible and fun or do you mean rules heavy with lots of charts?

In The Emperor's Name, Iquisimunda, Rogue Trader and WarEngine all come to mind, but that's a reasonably diverse set of rules.
