The Yeomanry look nice but the Trumpers look a bit undernourished.

the Perry's one is a single cylinder 350cc , really smaller than this one ... who is a twin cylinder at least 500cc

Dans les situations critiques, quand on parle avec un calibre bien en pogne, personne ne conteste plus. Y'a des statistiques là-dessus.

To be honest, the Tamiya kit is absolutely beautiful and easy as peas to assemble. I wish they had even one more 1/48 motorbike kit, perhaps an American or British one - any would do!

Regardless of the size of the engine, the frame and wheels would be of a similar size; it still has to be ridden after all. The 350 would have more space round the engine and probably a smaller fuel tank, but that's about it.

Is that Charles Hawtrey on the right? Carry On Up to Cairo? Carry on Rommel?

Exactly.

some weeks ago, we talked about an epic fail on motorbikes modelling ...

here is an epic fail on truck modelling :

the real truck :

it appear that the 28mm  "french 1000kg truck" from warlord is a f**king 1/72 model !
i'll use them ( yes i bought 2 ! ) as child pedal cars ...

it's a shame ...

Looks like a Soviet truck but when I researched it the Soviet truck really is that small whereas that French truck in RL looks like the size of a US 2 ton truck

the model is
7cm long
2,8cm large
so the real life model would be :
3,92meters long and 1,56meters large
the french 1000-1500kg trucs were around 5 and 5,60 meters long and 1,85 to 2,10 meters large ...

looks like a Fiat topolino with  truck bed ...  lol ridiculous ...
and i used Perry minis for size comparison , if you use Artizan design, it's worse  lol

I must admit that I've been watching the Perry vehicle range for some time (well before the sidecar debacle) and wondering what's going on. Some stuff is good (not excellent), some stuff is acceptable, some is .... poor.

Talk Perry figures to anyone and you're talking (generally) anatomical excellence and top notch look and quality.
They aren't short of wedge.

So they have the reputation and the cash. They could get anyone to make vehicles for them and to a similar quality to their figures. Not just good enough or similar to anyone else, but better.

But ... they don't. Given how much they love their wargaming (beautiful terrain and figs) their attitude to their WW2 vehicles mystifies me. It's letting themselves down as much as anything I feel .......

I think the truck is Warlord.

Other perry vehicles (apart from the Shriner bikes?) have been up to par and quite nice. Their partnership with Blitzkrieg has been excellent; when I did game 28mm, I absolutely enjoyed Blitzkrieg stuff over Warlord.

I am more concerned it almost drove Lou to use a curse word though.  ;)

A lot of the vehicles Warlord are releasing are the old Force of Arms range which (iirc) were something like 1/65th Scale... although indeed this one looks smaller still.

That truck is from the old FoA catalogue. All of the SCW stuff was sold on to Voldemort er, I mean Warlord. I always thought the FoA stuff was 1/56 except for when it isn't and is something odd like 1/57 or 1/58. I have some of their lovely Centurions, which are the right scale, alas the .30 cal Brownings that come with the kit are smaller than a scale Sten gun.

Have you thought about using it as Fiat Topolino? Or a wreck therof?

I think the rung to do is cut the topper off, and fill it with clown models. Hundreds of them. Then it's funny!
