Any type of PVA glue is good - for a more solid bond - You could sand the surfaces a little and use a clamp.

Also - I've found that the type of PVA glue suitable for outdoor use, doesn't "reactivate" when exposed to new layers of PVA or water - This might help if you are trying to give flock or turf an additional watered-down layer of bond.

All good tips! Thank you.  :D

Turns out my blue foam rectangles are a couple of mm too large along each edge, so I've got to take them back to be trimmed or else they won't fit in my table. Delays, grrr!  >:(

Still, the cork bark arrived today, so I'm inching closer to getting started.

I've used wood glue, or if you want to be fancy, UHU Por, which is their specialist clear glue for expanded foam. You won't find it in many shops but it's readily available online. Pretty good stuff, although if you've got large areas to do, wood glue is pretty much as effective.

Same like Richard, only on vinegar Base, Not Water. Is Better when you use colors that are water based. Company is Ponal.

Erm... Vinegar?!

As in instead of water - use vinegar to thin the PVA/Wood glue?

It is produced with vinegar instead of water.

I can only give you the german language webside (www.ponal.de)
Maybe in Britain they have a different name. Like in south america the pajero was renamed ;)

Update: Ponal is from Henkel, so I think you have the same in your construction shops. It is called waterproofed Wood glue.

Ok - I believe it is essentially the same as "outdoor" woodglue.

I already have a glue gun
Make sure that you have the right kind of glue gun - they usually have a fixed temperature setting and many are too hot for foam (it will melt). You need a low-temperature glue gun or one with variable settings.

I have good success with interior/exterior wood glue (Titebond).
