brick red spray primer (2 minutes), drybursh orange-red (2 minutes), leaves 6 minutes to do trim by hand, i think it can be done - at least to a tabletop game standard.
@dave- what's the purpose of the "base" thing - just extra stability? allow "half height" sections to be used? is it really needed (some earlier versions didn't use it)? just an idea of maybe having some "base" things also be brick texture.
Yes, it is for added stability and to ensure the corners are true right-angles.
No, it is not "needed". I recently put together a building just using some of the older parts and it all went together perfectly fine. But without it, I notice that the mid-point of the long wall has a bit of give and flexes if you squeeze it in the middle. Even though there is not a join there, our buildings get tons of rough handling so I prefer having more support in the middle.
It is also a way of keeping the price down. That piece is thicker and does not have much detail, so I can print it on the filament printer.
Lastly, the building is too big to run on a single plate so by printing four of the larger/simpler pieces on the filament printer I can split the job between two machines.
