Dreams of Nuclear Fire - A TNT Campaign
« on: 13 March 2016, 12:55:06 AM »
This will be the post for our ongoing TNT campaign. This is Chapter 1 and involves six warbands struggle to claim a mighty nuclear weapon lost in the ruins of Sacramento.

The campaign is set in the Fallout universe, but we aren't letting ourselves get hamstrung by canon. So we are making the setting our own.

Enjoy!

Yeah wow this is awesome.  I'll be honest, I only got to the first photo before I had to post... but the use of (looks like woodland scenics maybe?) tree+foliage kit trees left plain to represent dead trees... muahahaha simple yet effective :D

Gonna have to get a tasty beverage and sit down to read these all through soon, thanks for sharing!

Epic stuff, jealous that you guys have drummed up so much good terrain, great gangs and a group so fast  8)

No deaths in three games is very lucky, in the three games I\ve played, the combined gangs involved have experienced 8 deaths  :D

Excellent terrain and figures. Your write-ups read like a graphic novel and the final outcomes add a lot of flavour to your campaign. Great looking stuff. By the way, what rule system are you using....TNT...I have not heard of this before? Are you solo gaming or playing with other members? Thanks for sharing.

TNT = This is not a test.

http://worldsendpublishing.com/this-is-not-a-test/

It is a new ruleset for post apoc skirmish gaming. They currently have a kickstarter ongoing for a hardcopy of the ruleset.
The rules are really good, striking a good balance between shooting and close combat, well balanced and with some cool mechanics and campaign system.

I'm glad you all enjoyed reading it. It's the culmination of months of work and it feels really good to get the games to page. I am playing with members of my gaming group. Each separate warband is played by one one of our gaming group members. All the terrain and few warbands I built motivated them all to participate. It's the most involved project my group has done in a while.

Yeah, everyone has been lucky for sure. Thankfully too. Deaths would put some warbands at a serious disadvantage early on. We instituted a no-deaths rule on the first game. All rolls of a 1 on the Injury table became a 2, and Rank and File/Specialists don't die on a 2. Luckily, this rule wasn't even needed - except for a rank and file I think, in one of the games.

I didn't want any warbands to fall too far behind from the first game. Some of the results might have been deaths anyways, though. Some models are missing games or rendered difficult to use (Frenzy), etc.
