Fabulous! I particularly like the gaslamps either side of the cockpit  8)

Agreed, excellent work, and the gaslamps are an elegant touch.  :-*

Another Papa Midnight masterpiece. As always the base perfectly sets off your work, much like a quality picture frame does a painting.

Neato! And those colours look way better on it than GW's Grey Knight scheme.

 :-* :-* :-*

Lovely coversion and Paintjob!

When I first saw that kit I thought it did not fit the 40k universe, but could see a lot of people using it as the basis for conversions.
VSF was certainly not one of them....
Fantastic idea, and the green scheme works really well.

Nice base, too.

As plenty of others have said, ditto.

Best use of a Dreadknight I've seen so far, bar none.

I have to wonder if Marvel Comics licensed the term "Dreadknight" to that little old company from Britain. It's a human being, wearing a big power suit or armour, in a science fiction setting, in both instances ...  hmmm.

The model kit is rather more appealing with steam power and extra rivets, I must say.

Thank you all for the comments!
I'm always a little unsure when it comes to whether one of my models is VSF or Steampunk. My own opinions of what constitutes each probably differ from everyone else....
I liked the comment about the curved surfaces  and will keep it in mind on future builds.
I will try to get a better picture of the "pilot" but as he's so recessed it's a little difficult without over-exposing the whole picture.

Beautiful work - love the little touches like the lanterns at the front. But what are the disconnected piston things for, sticking out of his hips and heels?

They are exhaust ports for steam "over-pressure"............ Sound convincing....  :D

The best Dread Knight conversion I've seen this far. I'm not a big fan of the original model but you definitely made it look really good. Might have to steal the idea^^

Brilliant stuff! The green is superb, and the base, as your bases always do, looks great! Love the squashed zombie - great idea from your wife!
