Mustering for Raphia (was Xystophoroi)
« on: March 14, 2016, 09:31:31 PM »

A couple more units of Ptolemaic lancers painted by Raglan and Shaun McTague respectively, and based by me for the coming Raphia game. Polemarch riders and Aventine steeds; a happy combination!

Best, Simon

Some more fine units.   I am envious of such quality painting (also Barry's work most recently on TMP and eBay).   Looking forward to Aventine's Seleucid cavalry - have to ask just how many Companions one really needs!

Ah Garry- I don't have any later Seleucid companions.  Yet.  Something to look forward to!  :-)

Some more xystophoroi...

...and some thureophoroi.

All painted by Craig Davey but re-based and re-furbished by me.  I'm frantically basing and re-basing minis for the big Raphia game in 4 weeks time.

Awesome as always - that's going to be one impressive-looking game!

I have a bad case of Ancients Withdrawal Syndrome right now (haven't had a game in over a month but it feels like a year) and looking at pictures like these doesn't make it feel better at all...  o_o

Cheers,
Gunnar

More minis from mate Craig; later Thracians (some have falx).  I just added a little flock to the bases on these ones.

Antiochos Megas, the Seleucid Emperor. He'll lead the rightmost cavalry unit.
